I LOVE all this communal card playing on summer evenings in Sicily. But why is it only men? And do they play for money?

EliminaHmmm....I always say (smiling) that WE have more other things to do....but I really don't know...
Many women of the age of those men are usually housewives...and traditionally here Men play cards ( I like and find it very funny beacuse , especially for Brisola there's a secret language of signs that EVERYBODY knows!! but I always forget!! ) but not for money seriously, just few coins ..only for "la posta" just to make it real....

Eliminathe first time I was in Tunisia, for example, this is what I exclaimed to myself : OH matri mia (that is OH Mamma mia! ) this is the way we, Sicilian, are !!! in an exaggerating way.."
