Dopo più di dieci anni si parla ancora del Commissario Montalbano e si girano ancora episodi nei luoghi della fiction, ovvero in provincia di Ragusa. Il commissario Montalbano è diventato un fenomeno letterario e cinematografico, ma anche turistico e sempre più quest'angolo di Sicilia, stupendo, è tra le tourist destinations più ambite come movie -set per Italiani e non solo!   Già! La cosa sorprendente è che Montalbano è un fenomeno che ha varcato i confini. Parte della produzione è scandinava, ovvero svedese, dove i nuovi episodi vengono trasmessi in contemporanea alla tv italiana! Ma, chiaccherando con i turisti qui in visita da noi, scopro che Montalbano è davvero una star internazionale... Ma cosa c'è dietro tale successo? Perchè questo commissario, un pò burbero, poco gentleman piace così tanto? Bello non è , ma alle donne piace..e lo stesso dicasi di Luca Zingaretti, colui che ha dato voce ed immagine al commissario siciliano... Certamente Zingaretti

Si dice che sia il segreto di ogni vero Siracusano...ma ormai tutti lo sanno.... sul cornicione sinistro di palazzo Vermexio (Municipio oggi) si trova una piccola lucertola , con la quale solitamente si firmava Giovanni Vermexio, architetto siracusano del '600. Beh noi lo diciamo  a tutti ............. --------------------- It's said to be the secret of every true Siracusaner..but,  today everybody knows!! In the cornicestone on the left in Vermexio Palace (Townhall today) there's  a little lizard, symbol of the Architect Giovanni Vermexio who used to sign with it. We tell to everybody....!!

In these days in Italy every TV news and programs are broadcasting the speech of the new Prime Minister Mario Monti to the Parliament... Well, as expected...austerity, new taxes,  economical efforts, reforms  everything for the general crisis and to avoid worse times! I like his style.... about  general and individual efforts everybody knew.. but what I really like most in his speech ( and he pointed out more times) was the great value and potential he wants to give to the young and women!!! many thanks by Eva

looking at the winter coming One of the commonest questions done by our tourists, especially, when the tourist season is almost at the end ,lke now is : " What do you do in winter??" I understand ,it's quite curious to have such a long time in front of you with no work..or at least not everyday. Well..it's not strange and, after a long tiring season with (if the season is good..) no days off, no weekends ....no free time for your things..a guide really needs some relaxing time. So the first thing I like to say is: "I want to relax..and find time for myself..." but winter is also time to share together with collegues conferences, meetings, studying..and have some holydays ,too. It's time for reading in peace, attending courses or going around and see what is new for the next season (like new hotels or restaurants or shops..wathever a tourist needs..). As far as me.. I really need to find more time for my friends I recently couldn't give it

grandma Ninetta's recipe Olives harvest is over...and then what to do?? For example here we make as follows: After washing and drying olives, prick them with a fork sun dry for a few days fry just for a few seconds on olive oil and then dress, if you like, with seeds of fennel and put under extra virgin olive oil.. tha's it.. more than delicious!!!! (this spot is for a dear friend of mine who likes eating olives...)

La festa di Halloween è passata.... Cenerentola credo sia già arrivata alla festa da ballo al Castello.... Quindi??
