IKEA in Sicily

Molti di noi in questi giorni hanno trovato la rivista IKEA 2011 nella buca della posta...
Il giorno tanto atteso è arrivato!
Oggi IKEA inaugura il primo punto vendita in Sicilia,  a Catania.
Sembra quasi un miracolo.....
Dopo tanti rinvii Ikea apre le porte alla Sicilia!
Io non andrò oggi.......più in là.....vedrò e vi dirò...

Many people here have found the IKEA magazine 2011 in their mailboxes, in these days.
The time has arrived! Today IKEA is opening its first Sicilian centre, in Catania.
It looks like a miracle, here.
After long delays, IKEA opens its doors to Sicily.
I won't go there today....later...I'll see and tell you...

A Taledda di S. Giorgio a Ibla

tra le  tradizioni pasquali che ancora qua e là si rispettano  in Sicilia  vi è l'esposizione della Taledda    un grande arazzo che raffigura la Crocifissone  e che viene rimosso il giorno di Pasqua. Tra le più famose nel ragusano a taledda di S. Giorgio, realizzata dai fratelli Vaccaro di Caltagirone ............................... Busulmona: like Heaven!

Busulmona : XIXth  century farmhouse, once property of the  Cavaliere Sessa, today run by the family Di Pino. 5 km far from Noto it is immersed in a wonderful almond grove and carobs olives and all the colours of nature   make of this piece of Sicily a true paradise! It works as a B&B at the moment with only two bedroom, but it's also possible to have lunch tasting olive oil and almonds and wathever  what rigorously the family produce and cook for you!  Tranquillity, harmony, genuinity.. this are the things coming to my mind when I was there The name Busulmona , which is the name of all that area,comes from the Arabic and means the land of sun....  an extraordinary view  from the stone terrace on the Val di Noto, from Noto to Vendicari and Marzamemi... . for further information : www.busulmona.com
