   Yesterday just in time in Noto to see the silver urn  leaving th Cathedral  during the procession of St Conrad* the patron -saint there   my Korean tourists where excited and said "we just saw this kind of things in the movies" I was happy to show them true moments of devotion * it takes place four times a year,twice i february and twice in August

   for 3 days the Capital of Baroque will be a tribute to Japan in one of the most wonderful magic places in Sicily!

Busulmona : XIXth  century farmhouse, once property of the  Cavaliere Sessa, today run by the family Di Pino. 5 km far from Noto it is immersed in a wonderful almond grove and carobs olives and all the colours of nature   make of this piece of Sicily a true paradise! It works as a B&B at the moment with only two bedroom, but it's also possible to have lunch tasting olive oil and almonds and wathever  what rigorously the family produce and cook for you!  Tranquillity, harmony, genuinity.. this are the things coming to my mind when I was there The name Busulmona , which is the name of all that area,comes from the Arabic and means the land of sun....  an extraordinary view  from the stone terrace on the Val di Noto, from Noto to Vendicari and Marzamemi... . for further information : www.busulmona.com

To me: a lipstick ( for the hundreds of kisses she 'll give) kleenex (possibly  for her tears of joy) a mobile phone (I hope not!!) what else? ------------- Cosa ci sarà nella borsetta della sposa? un rossetto (per tutti i baci che darà?) kleenex ( per le lacrime di gioia?) un telefonino? (spero di no!) che altro??

 Yesterday a very nice tour with my American tourists : starting from Marina di Ragusa, to Ragusa Ibla and then luch in Modica and from Modica in the tiny but picturesque fihermen village of Marzamemi and then to Noto where , in its beautiful Cathedral a wedding had just been celebrated.. Looking at the couple making  the "offcial photoes", looking around at the wedding guests....and then waiting the groom and the bride coming out from the church. To my American people all this was amazing and it sounded more interesting than the Baroque in Ibla, the sunset in Marzamemi or the dark choccolate of Modica... .. Why not? This is also Sicily! A question? They got married on Monday! Do you celebrate weddings also on the week days and not only in the weekends? Yes we do, every day BUT never on Sundays. At Nicolaci Palace ( Noto): these is the only floor dated XVIII's century. Gorgeus! I like these tiles... It was produced in Vietri (in Campania , on the Amalfi coast) -------------- Adoro la ceramica siciliana, anche se sono di parte non dovrei dirlo! Ma questo pavimento in blu,l'unico originale del XVIII secolo all'interno di Palazzo Nicolaci a Noto,  fu prodotto  a Vietri (Campania). Proprio bello.
