Sicily in BIT 2011

International Tourist Exchange in Milan

-----------------

The International Tourist Exchange in Milan has just started!!
BUT this year Sicily won't have its offical stand!
The President of Regione Sicliana has declaired that it's a waste of money and that, next May in Palermo we'll have OUR TOURIST EXCHANGE inviting tour operators to come to Sicily!

I agrree that in the past the way Sicily has used the BIT to promote Sicily has been a waste of money....
BUT  a Tourist exchnge in May , when all tourist business for 2012 are all done!  It's a nonsense!

Anyway, Sicilia is not there but  the nine provinces will be there together, cooperating together
This year we expect more cooperation, more organization promoting our territory our cultural and historical heritag at the best.
Sicilian stands are always the most visited .. and not only for our delicious food and wine tasting!
Sicily is more...!

Busulmona: like Heaven!

Busulmona : XIXth  century farmhouse, once property of the  Cavaliere Sessa, today run by the family Di Pino. 5 km far from Noto it is immersed in a wonderful almond grove and carobs olives and all the colours of nature   make of this piece of Sicily a true paradise! It works as a B&B at the moment with only two bedroom, but it's also possible to have lunch tasting olive oil and almonds and wathever  what rigorously the family produce and cook for you!  Tranquillity, harmony, genuinity.. this are the things coming to my mind when I was there The name Busulmona , which is the name of all that area, comes from the Arabic and means the land of sun....  an extraordinary view  from the stone terrace on the Val di Noto, from Noto to Vendicari and Marzamemi... . for further information : www.busulmona.com

Now it's better!
