E' notizia di pochi giorni fa....il ministro degli Esteri  giapponese,Seji Maheara, si è dimesso dall'incarico per di  via alcune polemiche sorte in seguito ad una donazione di 50,000 yen (all'incirca 440,00euro!!) ricevuti da un'anziana donna coreana , titolare di un piccolo ristorante a Kioto. Ovviamente ciò è proibito! E pensare che qui , in Italia, c'è qualche autorità politica che sembra aver elargito  soldi a donne bisognose....e molto, molto di più di 440,00 euro!! --------------------------------- Latest news: The Japanese Foreign Ministry resigned after polemics about a donation recieved from an old Corean lady , owner of a little restaurant in Kioto: 50,000 yen that is 440,00 euro!!! Think that , in Italy, there are political authorities who donated money to women who need..and more, much more than 440,00 euro!!!

We, tour guides frequently are told that we are lucky people as we do a very nice job. It's true! We are always in touch with people coming from all over the world, with different cultures and we become to them the representives of ours! Everybody who does the job he/she likes is lucky and does it with passion. Tourists feel it and this is also what  sometimes makes the difference between guides! Maybe, We, guides in Sicily gives too much...we should be less involved ... but I think it's in our Dna to give and give ourselves with passion, and limit ourselves could be too artificial. Among other things, what I like is walking around with tourists and feeling  myself as a tourist as well, at home! While walking, yesterday I took these pictures. Now I always have my digital camera with me. In the beginning I avoided to use it during my job, but then I noticed that tourists liked and like it. ortigia: a spot of the port! Yesterday it was sunny...today it's raining again!

Modica alta Modica alta Che signora invadente!  Questa fotografia mi ricorda le riprese di M alena , il film girato da Giuseppe Tornatore a Siracusa, credo nel 2000. In via Picherali (per chi non conosce ortigia  è la strada che da Piazza Duomo scende giù verso la fonte Aretusa offrendo uno scorcio mozzafiato del porto) durante le riprese del film, furono messi dei panni stesi esattamnte così... durante i tour, spesso i commenti dei turisti, anche italiani erano del tipo ""Beh..esagerati!" Esagerati? no, non credo, come vedete.. Malena è ambientato negli anni della II guerra mondiale io ho scattato questa foto pochi giorni fa, febbraio 2011... ------------ What an intrusive lady? Her balcony is not enough... Shooting this picture, it reminded me when Giuseppe Tornatore (the famous sicilian director of Cinema Paradiso ) was in Ortigia for his movie Malena . Lega Nord, Forza del Sud, etc etc....è vero sicula sugnu.....ma Italiana mi sento! Spesso , chiaccherando con i turiststi stranieri ci sentiamo chiedere se siamo Italiani???????? Certo che lo siamo, siculi veraci dell'Italia! Questa canzone è semplice, delicata e poetica... ------ Forza del Sud, North League..etc etc....It's true when I say Sicula sugnu, but I feel Italian as well, Talking with tourists, especially foreigners, we, as Sicilians, are asked if we are Italians?????? Sure, we're Italian , true Sicilian from Italy. this song, at the last Sanremo festival, it's delicate, nice and poetic!
