buscuits at the convent

Last week the delicious almond and pistachoes buiscuits made by the loveliest nuns at Santo Spirito Convent  in Agrigento, helped me and my collegues to face the tiring but exciting preparatory tour  we did for our Exploring Sicily tour next April!! don't miss the Santo Spirito's nuns specialities  especially for the following Easter time!

XXV World Tourist guide day: Accessible Tourism in Siracusa

  "Se si vuole, si può!" Once again it was a great success ! In Siracusa we opened the Roman amphitheatre for our  "Guide Pride": Into the Arena of Augusto once again   with the great help of FIABA (Italian Fund against architectural barriers) so well represented by Bernadette Lo Bianco the local guides of Siracusa reserved one service to the ENS-Siracusa (National Association of deaf people) here me with doctor Risuglia from ENS,Bernadette LoBianco(Fiaba) and Daniela Camisi (LIS interpreter) Here with the mayor and vice mayor of Siracusa!

at opposite directions

There are two archaeological sites in Sicily , into opposite directions, among my favourite ones. up above the fortress of Eurialo's Castle  one of the jewels of the ancient Greek Syracuse and down below  some pictures taken around  the North gate of the ancient Selinunte  and  in its defence system They are indirectly correlated each other  for being one of the outmost examples  of an active defense system
